Your new company
Join a leading consultancy’s non‑life capital team and contribute to a growing success story.
Your new role
The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects with a diverse client base across the insurance industry. Projects include IMAPs and major model change applications, secondments as part of line 1 and line 2 teams, model build, authorisation, standard formula, and capital assessments as part of M&A.
You’ll play a key role in preparing client proposals and building strong internal and external relationships. Alongside project delivery, you’ll foster a positive team culture through coaching, mentoring and effective supervision, and support essential team operations including performance feedback, recruitment, financial management, and learning and development.
The role offers an exceptional opportunity to broaden your technical and commercial skill set in a high‑impact environment, working alongside some of the leading experts in the industry.
What you'll need to succeed
They’re looking for candidates who are energised by the opportunity to help develop and grow a team of high‑performing consultants. You’ll be a qualified actuary (or equivalent by experience) with a background in specialty markets—such as Lloyd’s—or UK retail insurance, gained either from an insurer or a leading consultancy.
They’re flexible on the specific lines of business you’ve worked in; what matters most is your technical strength, along with your ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver high‑quality analytical outcomes.
If you have experience in areas such as capital modelling, model validation, Solvency II, stochastic modelling, catastrophe modelling, model governance, model risk management, regulatory reporting, Pillar 1 or Pillar 2 requirements, SCR, or ORSA, then this role could be an excellent fit for you.
You’ll need experience with software and programming languages commonly used in the capital modelling / risk space, such as Igloo, ReMetrica, Tyche, R, Python, SQL, SAS, RMS, and similar tools.
The ability to breakdown technical/role-specific jargon for a non-actuary audience is needed.
Visa sponsorship is available.
What you'll get in return
A highly competitive base salary of c. £90k to £130k (depending on experience), coupled with an excellent benefits package.
Flexible working options available.
