Our client, a forward‑thinking and growing accountancy practice in the heart of Salisbury, is seeking an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join their expanding team. The Opportunity
As an Accounts Semi Senior, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounts, VAT and tax work for a varied portfolio of clients. You’ll work closely with senior team members, build strong client relationships and develop your technical knowledge with real responsibility from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare year‑end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns from client records
  • Produce accurate working paper files and ensure compliance with current accounting standards
  • Communicate professionally with clients, providing clear updates and supporting their day‑to‑day needs
  • Work collaboratively with senior staff to meet deadlines, budgets and client expectations
  • Support in client meetings when required and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Review WIP and debtors as part of managing profitability
  • Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge, including accounting standards and tax requirements
  • Highlight issues proactively and suggest practical solutions during the preparation process

About You
  • Part‑qualified ACCA (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ experience preparing accounts and VAT returns within a UK accountancy practice
  • Working knowledge of software such as Xero, VT, CCH or similar
  • Strong technical understanding of current accounting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident communicator who can build strong client relationships
  • Self‑motivated, organised and able to work independently within a team environment
  • Professional, proactive and committed to ongoing development
