Your new role


As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you’ll support the finance team in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 6 months of experience in a finance or accounts role who’s looking to grow their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing customer payments and allocating them accurately
  • Assisting with chasing outstanding invoices via phone and email
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of transactions and communications
  • Supporting the preparation of aged debt reports
  • Helping resolve payment queries in collaboration with internal teams
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
  • Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and data protection regulations

What you'll need to succeed


  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in accounts receivable or finance support role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence working with numbers and financial data
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience in wholesale or manufacturing environments involving stock is a plus.

Bonus points for:

  • AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth business
  • Exposure to CRM or invoicing systems
