Accounts Payable Manager – Manufacturing

A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the full AP function and lead a high‑performing finance team. This role offers a great opportunity to drive process improvements, support system implementation, and play a key part in the company’s ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely invoice processing.
  • Manage and develop the Accounts Payable team, overseeing day-to-day operations and workload management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all invoices are processed and approved promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end close for the AP function.
  • Review supplier statement reconciliations, highlight discrepancies, and take corrective action where required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier information and records.
  • Support and contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system, improving automation and workflow efficiency.

About You
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a full end‑to‑end Accounts Payable role.
  • Proven experience managing or supervising an AP team.
  • Strong understanding of supplier reconciliations and AP best practice.
  • Experience with ERP implementation within a finance function.
  • Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
