A great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a thriving creative business in London

Your new company
This business is a platform for possibility, designed to help creative individuals thrive across different industries. It’s not about managing diaries or ticking boxes — it’s about unlocking potential, connecting people with opportunities, and shaping journeys that last. Representing various household names, building bridges between talent and the audiences, brands, and communities they want to inspire.

Your new role
You will work as one of two AP Assistants, reporting to the Transactional Finance Manager. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
  • Be the first line of connection: Own the finance inbox, responding swiftly to supplier and team queries to keep communication flowing.
  • Champion invoice accuracy: Handle invoices with precision, ensuring every detail aligns with compliance and coding standards.
  • Guard the expense policy: Review claims and card activity, approving what’s right and confidently challenging anything that doesn’t fit.
  • Onboard new partners: Gather and manage supplier details to make sure new collaborations start smoothly.
  • Drive the monthly payment cycle: Set up and oversee scheduled payments, ensuring deadlines are met and approvals are locked in.
  • Keep the books moving: Record payments and receipts across divisions, maintaining a clear financial trail.
  • Balance the numbers: Support weekly and monthly reconciliations, spotting and fixing any mismatches with confidence.
  • Forecast with clarity: Align payments and receipts within the cash‑flow tool to keep short‑term liquidity visible.
  • Stay ahead with suppliers: Regularly match statements, chase down outstanding invoices, and keep relationships strong.
  • Jump into projects: Contribute to ad hoc tasks and mini‑projects, adding value wherever finance needs a boost.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will be able to evidence previous experience working in an end-to-end Accounts Payable job. Additional requirements include:
  • Spreadsheet wizardry: Confident in handling complex data, formulas, and analysis with ease. Intermediate Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Familiarity with finance tools: Experience with Exchequer is a bonus, but not a deal‑breaker.
  • Master of organisation: Skilled at juggling multiple priorities and keeping tasks on track without missing a beat.
  • Detail detective: Naturally precise, spotting errors and ensuring accuracy in every piece of work.
  • Clear communicator: Able to explain numbers and processes in a way that makes sense to internal colleagues and external clients alike. You'll be liaising across the business at all levels, so confidence and clear, concise communication skills are a must.
  • Deadline driven: Thrives in busy cycles, staying calm and effective when the pressure is on.

What you'll get in return
  • You’ll typically work three days in the office and two remotely — often Tuesday to Thursday in-office, but you’ve got flexibility to choose what works best for you. It’s about balance, not rigidity.
  • The official hours are 9:30am to 6pm, but there’s wiggle room. Whether you’re an early starter or need a bit of breathing space in the morning, the culture supports autonomy and trust.
  • Study support is up for discussion once you’ve passed probation. It’s a signal that the company invests in long-term commitment.
  • After a year, you’ll be eligible for private healthcare through BUPA — a solid safety net for your health and wellbeing, beyond the basics.
  • Simplyhealth – cash health plan. This gives you access to reimbursements for everyday health costs — think dental checkups, eye tests, physio, and more. It’s a practical way to keep your health in check without big out-of-pocket expenses.
  • You get free access to the Silver tier of Wellhub (formerly Gympass), which opens doors to gyms, wellness apps, and fitness classes. If you want to upgrade to Gold or Platinum, the company helps cover the cost — so you can level up your wellness without breaking the bank.
  • Unlimited holiday scheme.
  • Pension scheme (employer 4% contribution)
  • Workplace nursery scheme
