Your new role

This is a key role within a busy Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial data within the finance system. The role supports the wider department by maintaining high data integrity, resolving discrepancies, and delivering excellent internal and external service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately input financial data into the finance system, ensuring all information is complete and correct
  • Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation, verifying prices, quantities, and discounts.
  • Handling complex invoices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Circulate invoices for approval in line with internal controls and monitor timely returns for posting.
  • Post-approved invoices and credit notes to the Purchase Ledger accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain orderly and compliant financial records, ensuring a clear audit trail
  • Respond professionally to supplier and internal queries, supporting effective resolution.
  • Carry out additional finance and administrative tasks as directed by the Accounts Payable Coordinator

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience with processing invoices and handling supplier queries professionally.

  • Some experience of working within administrative processes within the Accounts department.

  • Excellent proven experience of data entry into finance systems, Oracle experience would be a plus.

  • Excellent Computer skills – keeps up to date with new software and computer processes, strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Educated to GCSE level minimum.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to plan and organise work efficiently.

  • Excellent experience of working with customers giving great customer service

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to manage detailed and accurate alphanumerical information.

  • Excellent team player, builds good working relationships

  • Able to work independently with initiative under pressure and solve problems
