Accounts Manager, Whitchurch

Your new firm

An established practice with over 50 years’ of experience providing services to a variety of local clients is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team based in Whitchurch. This practice supports a range of small to medium-sized businesses across a range of industries, including retailers, manufacturers and commercial services, encompassing sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. This firm offers a wide range of accountancy and business advisory services, including bookkeeping, audit, payroll, tax compliance, and business advice.

Your new role

As Accounts Manager, you will join a highly skilled and supportive team. Your day-to-day duties will cover accounts preparation for a range of clients from sole traders and partnerships, as well as limited companies. You will lead and support the team with completing personal tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping, working with multiple software, such as Sage and QuickBooks. You will be required to support clients and assist on any questions or queries, managing client relationships and providing excellent service.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in accounts in a practice environment, working with a range of clients from differing industries as well as experience working with software, specifically Sage and Quickbooks. This candidate will ideally be ACCA/ACA qualified or have equivalent experience. Organisational skills and ability to manage your time independently will make you an excellent candidate for this role.
