Temporary Accounts Assistant - Cashbooks - 6 months

Contract: 6 Months - Potential to become Permanent
On-site Location: Witney - 5 days in office
Hours: 37.5hrs per week
Competitive rate (Dependent on experience)

The Opportunity: I’m currently working with an organisation seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant focused on Cashbooks to join their Finance team initially for 6 months, with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining accurate cash book records.
  • Process receipts and payments through cashbooks.
  • Posting petty cash.
  • Ensure that supplier invoices are matched to purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Recording all incoming and outgoing transactions to ensure accurate cash flow monitoring.
  • Support month-end reconciliations and bank statement reconciliations
  • Contribute to process improvements and support the wider Finance team

    About You:
  • Your ability to accurately reconcile bank accounts and process receipts and payments through cashbooks is crucial for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a small team
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
