Hays are working exclusively with a successful business who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

You will work within a small team but take full responsibility for the following:

• Purchase Ledger, from processing invoices through to payment runs
• Credit control, including chasing outstanding debts and assessing credit limits
• Sales ledger including Sending statements weekly and posting and allocating cash
• Run VAT reports weekly and monthly
• Liaising with overseas Finance Team
• Assisting with various ad hoc accounting and non-accounting tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed

You will need a strong background in accounts and be able to take responsibility for the above tasks. You should be self-motivated, be able to pick up new tasks with ease and manage your own work load. Strong communication skills are essential to be able to liaise effectively throughout the business.
