Temporary Accounts Assistant Job – Glasgow City Centre

Your new company

A well-established property management company based in Glasgow City Centre is looking for an organised and reliable Temporary Admin / Accounts Assistant to support their busy team on a 2–3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the property sector while working in a friendly, fast environment. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and this role is fully office-based.

Your new role

You’ll play a key part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, providing both administrative and accounts support across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with purchase and sales ledger processing
  • Supporting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Updating internal accounting systems, including Xero
  • Providing finance administrative support to Property Managers.
  • Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries
  • Managing shared inboxes and responding to general queries
  • Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting with tenant and client communication
  • Supporting general office organisation and ad‑hoc tasks

What you'll need to succeed

We’re looking for someone who is confident, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload. You should bring:

  • Experience in an administrative, finance, or business support role, with the ability to manage data accurately and work to deadlines.
  • A solid grounding in accounting or business fundamentals, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on identifying solutions and improving progress.
  • Experience in purchase or sales ledger
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
  • A confident phone manner and strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
