Graduate Accounts Assistant job with study support

Your new company
Our client is recruiting for a graduate Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. The organisation offers hybrid working - 3 days in office and 2 days from home. The offices are based in Bellshill, and it is advisable that applicants have access to their own transport.

Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function across a portfolio of projects. Working closely with Finance Managers, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
  • Handling cash books and treasury arrangements
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Assisting with management accounting, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
  • Liaising with auditors and supporting year-end processes
  • Providing company secretarial support such as minute-taking and document processing
This is a varied role that offers exposure to multiple areas of finance and the opportunity to develop your skills within a collaborative environment.

What you'll need to succeed
This role is ideally suited to a Finance graduate (or graduate from a relevant discipline) who is keen to begin their career within Accountancy. Full study support is offered to the successful candidate. It is essential that you have;
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
