Your new role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to join this team on a 9 month fixed-term basis. This hybrid role is based in Bristol, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
You’ll be joining a high-performing finance function that supports global operations across key markets including the UK, US, Canada, and Australia, with additional collaboration with offshore teams in India. Our team is currently undergoing a transformation focused on process optimisation and efficiency—perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, change-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Interim Assistant Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close activities. You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing manual journals in line with month-end timetables and internal accounting guidelines
- Reviewing offshore sub-ledger processes, providing quality assurance and feedback
- Completing reconciliations for balance sheets and bank accounts
- Maintaining balance sheet integrity, resolving outstanding items promptly
- Supporting process improvement initiatives within your remit
- Responding to stakeholder queries with professionalism and clarity
What you'll need to succeed

- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Strong analytical skills for reporting, reconciliation, and journal preparation

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and support cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including audit and tax teams
