Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper – Tredegar - Temp-to-perm

Hays are supporting an exciting, fast‑growing organisation in Tredegar, and they’re looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their finance team immediately.

The Role
  • Accounts Assistant – Temp to Perm
  • Hybrid (1 day per week from home)
  • Competitive salary up to £28,500
  • Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing invoices in SAGE
  • Inputting supplier invoices onto SAGE
  • Sending out monthly statements
  • Reconciling the bank on a monthly basis
  • VAT returns
  • Supplier statements
  • Receipting customer invoices
  • Managing financial reporting for external use
  • Chasing Debtors where required
  • Preparing financial forecasting reports
  • Data entry onto SAGE
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by line manager
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous purchase ledger, sales ledger or accounts admin experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with manual invoice processing
  • Able to work efficiently in a busy, collaborative office environment
