Temporary Accounts Assistant role based in Leeds. Sickness cover.

Temporary: Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper
Location: Harehills, Leeds
Hours: 25 per week (flexible working pattern)
Start: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing sickness cover (end date unknown)

We’re working with a well‑established business in Harehills, Leeds, who are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to provide temporary support during a period of staff sickness. This role is ideal for someone confident across transactional finance and able to step in quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing purchase ledger tasks, including invoice processing and supplier queries
  • Handling sales ledger duties and maintaining accurate customer accounts
  • Carrying out credit control, chasing outstanding payments and resolving issues
  • Working with a bespoke accounts package (training provided)
  • Supporting the finance team with general bookkeeping and admin
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in accounts or bookkeeping
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
  • Someone available to start immediately
