Your new company

An expanding manufacturing business based in Teesside is seeking a Temporary Accounts Assistant to support continued growth. This is a 3–6 month temporary assignment with the strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will work closely with an experienced Financial Controller in a fast‑paced and collaborative finance function.

Ideally, our client is looking to appoint with a view to an immediate start.

Your new role

• Managing and assisting with the credit control function
• Processing and maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
• Performing account and ledger reconciliations
• Allocating payments and resolving account queries
• Supporting month‑end activities as required
• General finance administration to support the wider team

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
• Proven exposure to credit control, ledger processing and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and good numerical ability
• Confident using accounting systems and Excel
• Available at short notice or ideally immediately
• A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to adapt in a growing business
