Accounts Assistant – £28,000 | Doncaster | Permanent, Full-Time | Office-Based

We are partnering with a highly regarded organisation based in Doncaster to recruit a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant. Your new role

  • Process incoming and outgoing invoices and credit notes with accuracy and efficiency
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Reconcile customer and supplier statements to ensure financial records are up-to-date
  • Coordinate both scheduled and ad hoc payment runs
  • Monitor and reconcile bank transactions to maintain accurate cash flow records
  • Manage petty cash, company credit card usage, and overall cash flow oversight
  • Assist with payroll by compiling and verifying employee working hours
  • Process staff expense claims in line with company policy
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports and analysis
  • Provide support across a range of finance tasks as required by the department

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid experience with SAP (desirable, not essential) and Excel
  • Studying or completing AAT qualification (desireable, not essential)
  • Great communication skills — you’ll be speaking with people across business
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
  • Confidence working alongside the Finance Manager and wider team
