Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be working exclusively with this great manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton who are looking for an accountant with manufacturing experience to work with them on a permanent basis.

Your new role

The job of the accountant is to support the monthly close cycle, as well as ensuring financial and statutory reporting is complete to a high standard. You will also prepare account reconciliations and support with accurate monthly closure. Along with this, you will also be involved with:

Maintain integrity of the general ledger

• Preparing and posting journals, making sure proper authorisation and relevant documentation is attached
• Assisting with audit requests
• Performing monthly closing steps, including foreign exchange and depreciation
• Ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and resolving any issues in a timely manner
• Preparing account reconciliations, ensuring processes are complete
• Intercompany reconciliations including balance sheet, P&L, interest and loans
• Inventory/ stock reconciliations
• Assisting with Capex
• Preparing and distributing weekly and monthly reporting

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in manufacturing and they will have worked in a similar role.
