Accountant required for a West London Accountancy Practice

Your new role

You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end accounting services to clients across various industries. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Manage and deliver year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Oversee VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Handle personal and corporate tax computations and submissions
  • Provide business advisory support, including cash flow forecasting and budgeting
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide proactive financial advice
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the practice

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally, you will be qualified, however qualified by experience candidates will be considered.
  • At least three years experience in public practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and tax compliance
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail
