Your new company

Your new company
You’ll be joining a modern, people‑centred accountancy practice that genuinely cares about its team and its clients. It’s the kind of firm where relationships matter, ideas are welcomed, and everyone is encouraged to do their best work. They’ve built a lovely reputation for being open, supportive and refreshingly down‑to‑earth — all while delivering excellent technical advice.

Your new role

As a Client Portfolio Manager, you’ll be the friendly, reliable face that clients turn to. You’ll manage your own portfolio, support with more complex accounts work, and take the lead on a variety of tax and compliance tasks. You’ll also play a big part in helping trainees and junior team members grow — whether that’s reviewing work, sharing knowledge or just being that approachable “go‑to” person in the team.
You’ll be encouraged to bring ideas, help improve systems and ways of working, and really influence how the firm continues to grow

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACCA/ICAEW qualified or active studier (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Confident handling corporate tax and a broad range of compliance work.
  • A natural relationship‑builder — someone clients trust and colleagues enjoy working with.
  • Comfortable reviewing work and supporting the development of junior staff.
  • Commercial awareness and a good understanding of how to run a successful portfolio.
  • Experience with modern accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, TaxCalc etc would be a bonus).
  • A kind, collaborative approach — someone who communicates clearly and leads with integrity.

What you'll get in return

You’ll be joining a genuinely welcoming, supportive team where your contributions matter. The firm offers:
A warm, friendly culture where people look out for each other.
Clear progression opportunities and the chance to help shape the future of the practice.
Flexibility and trust in how you work.
