Your new role

As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial operations and reporting. Your key duties will include:

  • Overseeing daily finance functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Preparing monthly financial reports and presenting insights to the owner.

  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, and developing financial plans.

  • Conducting performance monitoring and variance analysis.

  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

  • Coordinating audits and liaising with external advisors, auditors, and financial institutions.

  • Supporting strategic decisions through financial modelling and scenario planning.

  • Enhancing financial systems, policies, and procedures for improved efficiency.

  • Managing credit card reconciliations and related analysis.

  • Delivering ad hoc financial projects as required by the owner.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

  • Proficiency in Sage 50 or equivalent financial software.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • A flexible, proactive attitude with a strategic mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • QBE, part-qual or studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc.)
