Data & Finance Analyst
Your new company
This organisation operates in the clean‑energy and infrastructure space, providing publicly accessible technology that supports the growth of electric transport across the UK. It is expanding quickly and focuses on making sustainable options more convenient for everyday users.
Your new role
This is a dual-focus role sitting at the intersection of Data Analytics and Finance. You will support the CFO by maintaining the company’s operational dashboards and data model and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting. The role suits someone who leads with strong data ability, especially in Power BI, and is keen to develop or deepen core accounting skills. It offers significant ownership, growth and cross-functional exposure with accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities taught and gradually adopted where needed.
Role responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (approx. 40%)
- Use AI and LLM tools to accelerate data analysis, automate routine reporting, draft communications, and support research across finance and operations
- Maintain and extend existing Power BI dashboards and data models built on Charge Detail Record (CDR) data from the company’s data lake
- Create new reports and visuals to track operational KPIs such as revenue per charger, utilisation rates, and site performance
- Work with the Microsoft Fabric stack to transform raw data into actionable insights for the finance and commercial teams
- Collaborate with the outsourced data engineering team to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability
- Support ad-hoc data requests from the CFO and wider leadership team
Financial & Operational Reporting (approx. 30%)
- Prepare concise board-ready narratives covering portfolio sales, utilisation metrics, fault tracking, and uptime performance
- Produce operational performance reports combining financial and non-financial data
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships end-to-end, including invoice dispute resolution, credit note reconciliations, and payment runs across multiple banking platforms
Accounting & Bookkeeping (approx. 30%)
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero across multiple group entities, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Support the monthly close process: journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process invoices through Dext and ensure accurate coding to the chart of accounts
- Manage workflows and financial data within Salesforce
- Use WorkflowMax to track construction work-in-progress (WIP) and warehouse inventory balance
