Join a growing construction group at a pivotal moment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established construction company experiencing significant growth, including recent and upcoming acquisitions. With that comes increased data complexity—and a real need for someone who loves SQL, thrives on problem-solving, and wants to build high-quality, business-critical reporting. If you want to make a visible impact, shape reporting across multiple entities, and work closely with leadership as the business scales, this role offers exactly that.
The Role
As a mid–senior Business Intelligence Developer / Senior Reporting Analyst, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality reports and dashboards that drive decision-making across the group. You’ll work with stakeholders across finance, operations, commercial and project teams—translating real business needs into reliable, insightful reporting. This role is ideal for someone detail-driven, analytical, and confident working independently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, and Crystal Reports
- Writing and optimising MS SQL Server queries, views, and stored procedures
- Translating business requirements into clear, actionable reporting solutions
- Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across a growing organisation
- Proactively investigating and resolving data discrepancies
- Working directly with stakeholders to enhance and modernise reporting
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- Proven experience in a BI Developer or Senior Reporting Analyst role
- Strong SQL Server expertise (T‑SQL, query tuning, optimisation)
- Solid Power BI development experience
- Experience with SSRS and Crystal Reports
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects
Desirable
- Experience working with large, complex, or multi-entity datasets
- Understanding of data warehousing or reporting architecture
- Experience modernising or improving legacy reporting solutions
Who You Are
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and structured in your approach.
- Proactive and self-driven—someone who spots issues before others do.
- Analytical and logical, with a passion for clean, trustworthy data
- A confident communicator who can work well with non-technical stakeholders
Why This Role?
- Shape reporting across a rapidly expanding group
- Work closely with senior leaders and influence how the business uses data
- Job security and growth as the company continues to scale
- High-impact role where your work directly supports major decisions
- Based onsite 4 days per week in Magherafelt, offering strong collaboration with a supportive team.
