Pastoral Administrator Job Available at Secondary School in Salford

An Ofsted "Good" Secondary School in Salford are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to go permanent. This role is vital in supporting the pastoral care system, ensuring the wellbeing and safeguarding of their students, and providing administrative support to the pastoral team.

Location: Salford
Contract Type: Temporary (Potential Temp to Perm)
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only (Part-time hours will be considered)
Rate: £13.68 - £15/hour DOE
Start Date: ASAP

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Heads of Year and the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Maintain accurate records of student behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding concerns.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies regarding student welfare.
  • Support the coordination of pastoral interventions and student support plans.
  • Assist in organising pastoral events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Monitor and follow up on student attendance and punctuality.
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding protocols at all times.

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Administrative experience within a school environment
  • Pastoral Administration Experience is desirable
  • Experience in the use of school MIS - SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or other similar
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • A genuine interest in student wellbeing and development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and pastoral care frameworks is desirable
