Your new role

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Advisory Consultant to join our consultancy practice. This client-facing role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in leading enterprise IT functions, now leveraging that experience to advise and support multiple clients across various industries.

What you'll need to succeed

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to assess, advise, and support their IT strategy, operations, and transformation initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance across IT domains, including Application Development, Infrastructure Operations, Cloud & Hosting, Data Platforms, Middleware, AI/ML, Digital Workplace, End-User Computing, Service Desk, Networks, and Cybersecurity.
  • Advise on IT Service Management (ITSM), Service Integration (SIAM), and Project Management Office (PMO) best practices.
  • Support clients in designing and implementing modern IT operating models to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, aligning IT strategy with broader business goals and identifying opportunities for innovation and value creation.
Commercial and Vendor Management Expertise
A critical requirement for this role is deep commercial acumen. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong track record in:

  • Managing Tier 1 technology vendors and building strategic supplier relationships.
  • Negotiating high-value contracts and service agreements to ensure optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Drafting and reviewing detailed technical and commercial specifications for complex IT services and solutions.
  • Overseeing offshore delivery models and ensuring alignment with client expectations and service quality.
  • Redesigning IT operating models to drive cost efficiency, scalability, and business value.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Extensive experience leading IT across large-scale, complex organisations.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT challenges, both strategic and operational.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes across diverse IT domains.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly at the executive level.
  • Hands-on consulting or advisory experience with multiple clients.
