Mechanical Contracts Manager – Leading M&E Contractor – Belfast

Your new company

One of Northern Ireland’s leading M&E Contractors, with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their delivery team in Belfast. Known for delivering high-quality MEP services, the company operates across a wide range of sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Hotel & Leisure, Residential, and Retail.

Your new role

As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical packages on a variety of projects, primarily based in Northern Ireland. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing mechanical works from pre-construction through to handover
  • Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Monitoring project progress, budgets, and quality standards
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Attending site meetings and liaising with clients and consultants
  • Supporting procurement and programme planning
  • Providing technical input and resolving on-site issues
  • Reporting regularly to senior management on project performance

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in mechanical contracts management or project management
  • Experience working on large-scale mechanical projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building services
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient IT skills with strong reporting capabilities
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
