  • Collaborating with teams across communications, including external affairs and content and channels, to effectively reach target audiences through the most appropriate channels.
  • Monitor and evaluate media impact using appropriate tools.
  • Align media strategies with wider organisational goals.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours media rota.
What We’re Looking For

  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset.

  • Providing professional advice and support in incident management, including the preparation and dissemination of appropriate materials.
  • Seeing the bigger picture and ensuring communications plans and tactics are aligned both across the organisation and the wider external environment.
  • Taking part in the out-of-hours rota for media and digital activity.
  • Forging trusting relationships across the organisation.
  • Delivering communication outcomes as per Government Communication Service best practice.
  • Proven experience in media relations, ideally within central government or a large public sector body.
