Site Engineer – Large Hotel Refurbishment – Edinburgh
Your new company
You’ll be working with a leading main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for excellence, they are now seeking a Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of a major hotel refurbishment in central Edinburgh.
Your new role
As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in setting out, quality assurance, and ensuring technical compliance across the project. You’ll work closely with the site management team and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include interpreting drawings, managing site surveys, maintaining records, and supporting health and safety compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on refurbishment or commercial construction projects
- Strong setting out and surveying skills using modern instruments (e.g. Total Station, GPS)
- A solid understanding of construction methods and technical specifications
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction
- CSCS card and ideally SSSTS or SMSTS
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
