Hays are working in partnership with a consultancy firm based in Templepatrick, Northern Ireland seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer. This structural and civil engineering company is well-regarded for its creative and sustainable design solutions. Your new role
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will work alongside Senior Engineers to design and develop projects from start to finish. You will review designs, work with customers to understand their needs, manage engineering teams, and find cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop designs that meet standards and customer needs.
- Perform structural analysis to ensure safety and stability.
- Review and certify design calculations and drawings.
- Solve complex structural challenges.
- Meet with clients to gather project requirements and provide technical advice and solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with standards and regulations.
- Improve design efficiency while maintaining quality and safety.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the Graduate Structural Engineering role, candidates must have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Proficiency with structural design software such as STAAD and Tekla, and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit, is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach. The candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
