Your new role

The school we are working with in St Helens are seeking a dedicated, caring and proactive 1:1 teaching assistant to join their year 6 team in September on a full time temporary contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping children achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work 1:1 with a pupil in year 6, support them through their sats and prepare them for their transition into secondary school. You will work on developing their social and emotional skills and support their learning and wellbeing. The role includes working closely with the class teacher to ensure that tailored support is in place to meet the pupils' individual needs.

What you'll need to succeed

• DBS
• Full right to work in the UK
• Experience of working with children
• Patience and a nurturing approach
• Great communication skills
• Able to follow direction but also use initiative.
• Experience of working with SEN children
