Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant – Immediate Starts Available

As demand grows, we are seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join our temporary workforce and provide high‑quality, flexible support across a range of settings. Your new role
As a Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support teams to deliver tailored learning and behavioural support to pupils with a variety of needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD, and speech and language difficulties. Your responsibilities may include:
  • Providing 1:1 or small‑group support
  • Implementing EHCP strategies and behaviour plans
  • Encouraging engagement through differentiated learning
  • Supporting with communication, sensory, or mobility needs
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
    Assignments vary in length, giving you the freedom to explore different schools while building valuable SEND experience.


What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will need:
  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong behaviour‑management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships and promote independence
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, Psychology, Education Studies, or behaviour‑support training are highly desirable.
