1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the life of a child with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for a caring, proactive, and skilled 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a local primary school in Sefton.

Your new role
  • Work closely with one pupil to support their learning, emotional wellbeing, and development
  • Provide a consistent and compassionate presence to help the child thrive in the classroom
  • Collaborate with class teachers, SENDCO, and external specialists
  • Support transitions and routines throughout the school day
What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience working in a SEND setting or supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
