1:1 SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: DudleyStart Date: September 2026

Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Dudley to recruit a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with Autism from September.

With a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and personalised learning, staff work collaboratively to ensure all pupils can thrive both academically and socially.
This rewarding role will involve supporting a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), helping them access learning activities, develop communication and social skills, and achieve their individual targets throughout the school day.

Responsibilities Are:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Autism.
Implement and follow strategies outlined within the pupil's EHCP.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
Support the child's emotional, social, and academic development.
Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
Promote a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Record progress and contribute to reviews and observations as required.

What We're Looking For:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism, is highly desirable.
Understanding of EHCPs and experience implementing targeted support strategies.
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new DBS check through Hays.
