1:1 SEN Level 3 Teaching Assistant role in Walsall, Starting in November

A well-regarded and inclusive primary school in Walsall is seeking a Level 3 qualified Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This role involves supporting a child with communication difficulties and learning needs, working closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised support. You’ll be part of a collaborative and caring teaching assistant team, contributing to both individual learning and general classroom support.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing one-to-one support for a child with SEN, focusing on communication and learning development.
  • Using initiative and creativity to adapt and deliver tasks and activities that meet the child’s individual needs.
  • Collaborating with class teachers to prepare and deliver aspects of the curriculum.
  • Supporting general classroom activities as part of the wider TA team.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and flexible approach to learning support.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
