1:1 Behavioural TA - Thornton-Cleveleys

Your new company

Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Thornton‑Cleveleys area, and we are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behavioural Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil with additional behavioural and emotional needs.

Your new role

In this rewarding long‑term role, you will work closely with a primary-aged child who requires consistent guidance, emotional support, and structured behaviour strategies to help them engage positively with learning.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supporting the pupil with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Implementing personalised strategies and targeted interventions
Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo
Encouraging positive learning behaviours and resilience
Building a stable, trusting relationship to promote engagement and progress

What you'll need to succeed

Experience supporting pupils with behavioural, SEMH, or additional needs
A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
Confidence in de‑escalation and behaviour management
Strong communication skills and a nurturing mindset
A genuine commitment to helping children thrive
An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Hays)
