Their Bristol office is home to a top-ranked Professional Indemnity team, which forms a key part of the firm’s overall insurance offering. This team is highly regarded for defending complex professional indemnity claims and acts for many of the major global insurers and insureds.

Your new role
As a Senior Associate in the Professional Indemnity team, you’ll take a lead role in managing complex, high-value claims against a wide range of professionals, including solicitors, construction professionals, brokers, and IFAs. You’ll have significant autonomy and responsibility from day one, supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the strategic growth of the team.
You’ll also play a key role in client relationship management and business development, working closely with major insurers and insureds on challenging and technical matters. This is an opportunity to handle City-quality work while enjoying the benefits of being based in the Southwest.

What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll have several years’ experience, typically 4+ years’ PQE, in defendant professional indemnity work, ideally gained within a leading insurance litigation practice. Your background will include strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of court proceedings, alongside the ability to work effectively within Service Level Agreements. Exceptional communication skills are essential, enabling you to build trusted relationships with both insurers and insureds. While specialist professional indemnity experience is preferred, wider commercial litigation exposure will also be considered if you have a genuine interest in and understanding of the insurance litigation sector.
