Hays are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to support reactive and planned maintenance across a commercial site in Oxford (OX1). This is a long‑term 12‑month contract offering varied work across building fabric, lighting, plumbing and general maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to reactive tasks within agreed SLA timeframes
Deliver planned maintenance to schedule
Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair activity
Carry out site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments
Repair floor and wall coverings
Replace and repair ceiling tiles
Undertake building fabric and installation tasks
Carry out lamp changes, lighting maintenance, filter changes (AHUs/FCUs) and basic plumbing
Use PDA for updates, job completion and communication
Complete reactive, PPM and project works efficiently
Support minor project work where needed
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by the Technical Services Manager

Ideal Candidate

Multi-skilled background in building services
Strong fabric repair capabilities
Basic plumbing experience
Experience with lighting, filters and minor mechanical tasks
Confident producing RAMS
Good communication and PDA literacy
Strong Health & Safety awareness
