Full‑Time Year 5/6 Class Teacher – Term 5 & 6
Location: Bristol (BS15)
Contract: Full‑Time | Full Class Responsibility
Start: Term 5 (April 2026) – End of Term 6 (July 2026)
Are you an enthusiastic, dedicated primary teacher ready to take on a rewarding upper‑KS2 role? A welcoming and supportive primary school in BS15 is seeking an experienced teacher to lead their Year 5/6 class through the summer terms.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact as pupils prepare for the transition into secondary school.
The Role
In this full‑responsibility position, you will:
- Teach and lead a mixed Year 5/6 class
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
- Support pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing
- Prepare Year 6 pupils for end‑of‑year expectations
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and wider staff
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Contribute to the wider school community
✨ What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience within upper KS2 (Year 5/6 preferred)
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- Ability to hit the ground running with planning and assessment
- A creative, resilient, and organised practitioner
- Commitment to school values and pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
