Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer (Mechanical Bias) – Temporary Role

Location: Oxford, OX14 4RY
Client: Biotec Site
Contract: 3–4 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Rate: £28 - £32 per hour depending on experience

We’re recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer with a mechanical bias to support a leading Biotec facility in Oxford. This is a temporary position ideal for someone with strong mechanical experience, and supervisory or lead experience is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC, steam, and water systems
  • Support cleanroom operations and maintain environmental controls
  • Maintain and repair pumps, boilers, compressed air systems, and other mechanical assets
  • Supervise contractors and uphold health and safety standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and site reliability

What We’re Looking For:
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services (or time-served)
  • Experience in laboratory, cleanroom, or regulated environments
  • Strong mechanical skillset with multi-skilled capabilities
  • Familiarity with SOPs, compliance documentation, and audit processes
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Supervisory or lead experience is desirable but not essential.
