What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive. Non-qualified applicants with credit hire experience are encouraged to apply. They will possess a solid understanding of insurer clients’ reserving philosophies, ensuring all reserves are accurately maintained and regularly updated. A strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), relevant case law, and applicable legislation is essential, with the ability to progress defences in a timely and compliant manner. The candidate should be confident in advising on matters relating to RTA liability, quantum, and causation, and be capable of handling technically complex claims. This includes issues such as indemnity disputes, RTA and Article 75 insurer matters, resiling from admissions, and pursuing non-parties to litigation where appropriate.
