Housing Advice Jobs
Housing advice jobs are key roles within a Housing Association/Local Authority and fall within the Homeless/Emergency Housing Team. The position of housing advisor is to provide an effective and responsible service to customers who are either homeless or threatened with homelessness.
This might involve finding temporary accommodation, investigating homelessness claims, advising on legal rights, managing emergency accomodation lists, liaising with legal teams, lending organisations, local authorities, hostels. Applicants for housing advisor jobs should be CRB checked.
Develop your skills in housing advice officer jobs
People interested in this role should have a working knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, experience working in the housing sector, good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to working hours and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with people who coud be in a distressed state.
