  • BA (Hons) Health and Social Care

    Examine selected themes and issues in health and social care.  Learn about the historical development, and contemporary activities of health and welfare institutions in the UK.  Understand varied social care concepts, and important factors that influence health.

  • BA (Hons) Psychology Studies

    Learn techniques to devise and carry out studies to examine human behaviour and motivations. Learn about the core areas including Social and Developmental Psychology and individual differences.

  • BA (Hons) Psychology Studies with Counselling Studies

    Understand the core areas of Psychology and specific applications. Become familiar with the basic principles and processes of communicating. Examine the inter-relationships of psychology and other relevant disciplines.

  • BA (Hons) Psychology Studies with Education

    Study practical applications of psychology including work psychology, educational psychology, forensic psychology and developmental psychology.  Explore research paradigms, methods and measurement techniques.

  • BA (Hons) Social Care

    Develop an awareness of major historical developments in care.  Understand the various concepts of social care, including the range of settings in which it operates.  Become aware of different theoretical approaches to social care, as well as the implications of delivering care in practice. 

  • Certificate in Health and Social Care (OCR) VRQ L2

    This qualification is designed to meet the National Occupational Standards for Health and Social Care and is aimed primarily at staff already employed in the sector. However, it is also suitable for learners from 16 years and older who are considering a career in health and social care.

  • Certificate in Health and Social Care VRQ L3

    The qualification is ideal for learners seeking employment in the Health and Social Care sector or for those who already work in the sector and wish to improve their knowledge. The knowledge that learners gain is transferable to the S/NVQs in Health and Social Care

  • Certificate in Safeguarding Children VRQ L3

    With National Occupational Standards stating that 80% of managers and supervisors in residential child care services be qualified to L3, this Certificate provides a specific qualification for all staff that come into regular contact with children. This training addresses the requirements of the ‘Every Child Matters’ programme and the ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ guidance.

  • Children's Care, Learning and Development S/NVQ L2

    This qualification provides a specific qualification for child care staff and supports the National Occupational Standards, which states that at least half of child care staff are required to hold a level 2 qualification appropriate for the care or development of children.

  • First Aid

    Find out how to treat minor injuries such as cuts and bruises; burns and scalds; poisons, stings and bites to injuries to sensory organs; and joints and bones and master skills including how to apply dressings, deliver CPR and deal with fractures. Respond to emergencies such as bleeding, shock and medical problems.
