Your interview success should fill you with enough confidence to walk through the door with your head held high.
You must not, however, feel as though there is nothing left for you to prove. You will be judged from the first minute you arrive in your new role. Enthusiasm is important (without going overboard) and you must be polite and professional to everyone you meet - first impressions really do count !
Most companies will have a formalised induction and routine for you upon arrival, others may be a little less structured.
Don’t forget that your manager will be on hand to create a warm and welcoming environment and ensure you have all you need to settle in.
He or she does also have a job to do but whilst they will probably appear busy, never feel embarrassed about asking questions or making mistakes. This will only reflect well on you as it shows a willingness to learn.
Barring any mishaps, time will have flown by and hey presto, you’ve sailed through your first day unscathed.
