Watford recruiters take on the Great North Run for children’s charity

Local staff from Hays in Watford, the leading recruiting expert, are taking part in The Bupa Great North Run, in order to raise money for Hays’ charity partner Action for Children. The world’s biggest half marathon, which is now in its 30th year, will take place on the 19th September 2010 between Newcastle and South Shields.

Action for Children is one of the UK's largest children's charities working with over 156,000 children, young people and their families at around 420 projects across the UK. Action for Children is committed to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people, helping them break through injustice, deprivation and inequality so as they can achieve their full potential.

Jeff Taylor, Regional Director at Hays, comments: “Over a dozen of Hays’ employees, including myself, are working and training hard to make sure we are ready for this challenge. We are hoping to raise over £5,000 for Action for Children because it is such a fantastic charity and we would like to thank friends, families, colleagues and the local community for all their support.”
