Award-winning student

29 July 2010
A local student at Reading University has beaten off strong competition to win a top prize. Scott Jagdeo, who lives in Guildford in Surrey, won the Most Outstanding Performance in Final Year Award, which is sponsored by Hays Construction, the leading recruiting expert.

The purpose of the award is to promote, recognise and reward excellence in the field of construction management. Hays Construction recently attended a prizegiving ceremony at the university to present vouchers and a framed certificate to the proud student.

Rob Fry, Director at Hays, comments: “Although the job market is still tough the next generation should remain positive as employers are particularly interested in the creativity they have to offer. We are honoured and privileged to be able to acknowledge such outstanding work, not only is it great to support students pursuing a career in construction, but we would also encourage them to explore the many employment opportunities that exist locally. We look forward to seeing their skills develop in the decades to come.”
