Laura, who works for Elexon, was announced as the winner in an official ceremony that took place on the 27 th May at the Landmark hotel in London. Laura has won a dream holiday for two at the five star Aldrovandi Palace Hotel in Rome. Laura says: "I am absolutely delighted to be named as the PA of the Year! I think the PA role is a fantastic career choice; it's a busy, varied role where you can add real value to a business at the highest level. People don't always realise the importance of PAs so it's brilliant that Hays and The Times are giving PAs the recognition that they deserve!"
Karren Brady said: "It is important that we recognise those who are doing an excellent job and make some noise about it. Many people don't quite realise how demanding a PA's job is, and it is great that Hays PA & Secretarial is throwing the limelight their way. My congratulations go out to Laura."
Geoff Sims, Managing Director at Hays PA & Secretarial, comments: "As directors continue to battle with a challenging economy, it is the hard work PAs do behind the scenes that allows them to get on with their jobs. Laura won because she is hardworking and pro-active. I wish her the best of luck in her career."
