Education professionals in demand in Canterbury

Schools in Canterbury are experiencing a shortage of skilled staff, according to Hays Education, the leading recruiting expert. Schools are struggling to find qualified teachers who specialise in core subjects such as maths, science and English. Similarly, staff who have experience of working in the Special Education Needs (SEN) sector are highly sought after.

Rob Buckingham, Senior Business Manager at Hays Education, comments: "Whilst the public sector has not been unaffected by the recent economic climate we are still finding that there are considerable skills shortages and opportunities for teaching professionals and support staff within the region. A large number of schools in Canterbury and surrounding area rely on us to find individuals with the relevant experience, qualifications and skill set, who are able to make a positive impact to a child's education."

In response to this, Hays Education is holding open days from the 1st - 4th June in the Canterbury Office located on 81-82 Castle Street. Professionals who are interested in discussing current opportunities with an expert consultant should contact Hays on 012277 86819.
