Kent County Council supports professionals through redeployment

Hays Public Services, the leading recruiting expert, and Kent County Council have partnered to create an innovative careers transition website. The interactive site will support Kent County Council employees who are affected by reorganisation over the coming year. Employees will have individual access to the website which allows them to search for jobs and improve their CV writing, job searching techniques, interviews, competencies and salary negotiation.

Andy Cook, Senior Manager at Hays Career Transition, comments: "The website is a valuable tool for any individual seeking alternative employment in what is a competitive market. It works because it is interactive, user-friendly and available to access at their convenience. Employees can watch best-practice videos, undertake quizzes and obtain advice on all aspects on the recruitment process. They will also have access to external training and development providers. Kent County Council will be advertising its jobs on the site."

Nicola Lodemore, Employment Policy & Diversity Manager for Kent County Council comments:

"In these challenging economic times, we wanted to create a tool to help people looking for alternative employment so that they have the best chance of success. The solution provided by Hays is simple, practical and easy to use – and we believe it will be invaluable in supporting colleagues over the next few years. We're delighted to be working with Hays on this exciting project."
