Local recruiters raise money for Action for Children

Staff from Hays, the world's leading recruiting experts in qualified, professional and skilled people, in Cambridge, hosted a quiz night to raise money for its charity partner Action for Children. The quiz took place 18th March at the Revolution Vodka Bar and the Hays consultants raised over £330 for the charity.

Action for Children is one of the UK's largest children's charities working with over 156,000 children, young people and their families at around 420 projects across the UK. Action for Children is committed to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people, helping them break through injustice, deprivation and inequality so as they can achieve their full potential.

Rebecca Woodbourne, Manager at Hays, says: "Local events like this, along with other individual efforts, will help us reach our fundraising target. We are proud to support such a fantastic charity and will continue to raise money locally and involve the support of the community where ever possible. We all had a great time and my congratulations go out to Speaking Up for being the overall winner."

Andy Harris, Action for Children's Director of Fundraising said: "To raise this amount of money is a fantastic effort by Hays staff and one that we really appreciate. Our aim is to raise £17 million for neglected children over the next three years and strong regional fundraising is crucial to us achieving this target."
