Shortage of education professionals to meet demand in Kent

Local secondary schools in Kent are experiencing a shortage of suitably qualified teachers, according to Hays Education, the leading recruiting expert. Teachers with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or a recognised teaching qualification, specialising in core subjects such as maths, science and English are in high demand.

Rob Buckingham, Senior Business Manager at Hays Education, comments: "The latest unemployment figures show that full-time employment fell by 113,000 to 21.2 million, while part-time employment did not rise fast enough to compensate. It is therefore very promising that there is still demand for teaching professionals in the region. Individuals with relevant experience and qualifications that are interested in applying should speak with one of our consultants who are able to provide expert career advice."
