ICM skills test helps match credit controllers to new jobs

All credit control professionals looking for work with Hays Accountancy & Finance will now be able to prove their skills in a unique online test. Developed for Hays by ICM Online Services (icmOS), the test now forms part of every candidate's screening and registration process. It aims to provide the employer with extra information about jobseekers, offering additional insight into how well suited a candidate is to a role. It will give employers added confidence that they are recruiting the best person by testing the candidate's understanding of four key areas within credit control: collection techniques; the candidate's awareness of how credit control affects/impacts an organisation; terminology; and numeracy.

Ceinwen Walker, Business Director of the Credit Control Division at Hays, comments: "This new service is a welcome addition to the recruitment process and has been extremely well received by clients. It will form part of our already stringent and expert screening process to help us to identify the most suitable candidates for each new role, by providing a clear indication about their level of skills, and will also give the candidate a stronger understanding of their strengths. Clients have commended us for having a tangible measure of the candidate's ability, and strong candidates don't appear to be daunted by it."
